Join the Illinois Capitol Tea Party
May 18, 2009
This message is from DontTaxMeQuinn.com
Fellow Illinois Citizens,
This is the final message we’ll be sending out about the Taxpayer Tea Party happening in Springfield tomorrow (May 19th, 2009). With this in mind, please make sure you read the entire message to ensure you know the details and, if possible, can take part in the Springfield protest.
As mentioned in our previous message, Governor Quinn and his greedy tax hiking friends in the Illinois House are attempting to push a huge tax increase onto Illinois citizens. This increase would raise the state income tax by 50% and gouge us with a $99.00 vehicle tag tax.
Apparently, Quinn and the rest of his ilk missed the memo. You know, the one that included details about how bad the economy is, how many Americans are losing their jobs, how many small businesses are having a hard time staying afloat, and how most of us here in Illinois are struggling to live under the heavy tax burden across the state.
Tomorrow Illinois taxpayers will have the opportunity to make our voices heard. Join us at the State Capitol to protest Quinn’s proposed tax hikes and make sure they know we mean business.
