Melissa Bean Townhall – You Have to Pay

August 14, 2009

Melissa Bean is appearing at a townhall. Unfortunately it is not really open to the general public. She will be appearing the Lake Zurich Chamber of Commerce breakfast on Sept. 2. Only Chamber members are allowed and you have to pay $25. Hat tip: Michelle Malkin and Marathon Pundit.

Bean called my house, then the call abruptly ended after approximately 15 minutes, I was not allowed a question. This after she changed the Concorde Banquets event that originally said “Town Hall” to something else. I am a member of the local press and I STILL cannot get answers from her. Perhaps everyone protesting at Concorde Banquets in Kildeer Sept. 2 at 7:30 a.m. where she will be may get her attention. I guess only the business owners that pay to keep her in office matter. Lets make sure this woman is voted out!!!!!!!!!!! This is coming from someone who switched party lines to vote for her. I am FURIOUS!

    Hey Guys,

I am not a supporter of Bean, but I am of the Chamber. The 25$ was to cover the cost of the breakfast – can’t you figure that out? I think it is a farce that she won’t take questions or have a real townhall, but this even was simply a chamber sponsored event with a breakfast. She received no money, and I can attest that MANY in the audience where not supporters of hers, or of the healthcare bill. Just business people who went to a breakfast……
